What’s great? : chocolate desserts made simple.

Awfully chocolate has been around since 1998, starting out with only one concept in mind ~ to keep cake simple. Venturing and franchising out of their comfort zone, Awfully chocolate is now a proud owner of 8 stores in the mainland and many others in 7 countries. Recently, they launched 3 global concept stores (namely vivocity, east coast and kallang leisure park) that serves new specialties like the cupcakes and truffles. A chocolate fanatic like myself, can’t refrain from walking into the store.

First on the list : a scoop of 黑hei ice cream in a pretty cardboard backet. ($3.80++/single, $6.20++/double, $11.80++/pint).

Blended with Awfully chocolate’s own and belgium’s 70% dark chocolates, premium ingredients and low air content and the result? ~ ice cream that is rich and dense. Best chocolate ice cream ever? No doubt about that ~ still searching for comparable ones.

Up next : The original dark Chocolate cake. ($25.80/6″, $51.60/8″). Light, moist and delectable. This is how chocolate cake should taste like, case closed. Best way to eat this cake, dig in with spoons ~ no slicing allowed.

Yet to try the other specialties ~ cupcakes, truffles, cold pouched chocolate, rum & cherry cake, etc.. There’s always a next time.
