Food Blogging has opened much opportunities for me, be it in Photography or meeting new friends.
Since my involvement with social media increases, my social circle did as well. I managed to be acquainted with fellow instagrammers and this invitation was liaised by one of them. Thanks to her (name is Joyce by the way), I got to try M hotel; Cafe 2000’s September Executive Semi-Buffet Lunch Promotion.
Priced at $32++, you are entitled to one main course and unlimited buffet of appetisers, salads, soups and desserts. It only runs on Mondays to Fridays, 12noon to 3pm during lunch hours.
Australia Sirloin Beef Steak.
Charcoal grilled premium grain-fed beef served in black pepper sauce with sauteed seasonal vegetables and waffles fries on the side.
I do prefer a medium rare slab whenever possible but it would be nice if I was asked for the doneness first. Chef was held up by the incredible crowd that evening (I was there during dinnertime but we were served the lunch menu, just to clarify) and could have missed it out or we could have taken too much time on our photography session. I shall opt for latter as the reason is much more likely to occur.
Wok Fried Venison.
Stir-fried New Zealand venison with spring onions and ginger, served with fried rice, crambled egg and kai lan in oyster sauce.
This came piping hot and as the cameras started snapping again, I was affirmative that the meat slices would be as rigid as can be. I have got to admit, it was well executed as the vension was tender. Dense, tasty gravy over the rice was lovely. I could have walloped that bowl of carbohydrates if not for the rest of the dishes.
Superior Claypot Noodles.
Do you see the abalone in the middle of the pot?
This portion of noodles was substantial enough for two ladies to share during lunchtime. The noodles was al denta (it may seem weird to describe asian noodles but they really were) and the stock used was decent, packed with a good load of ingredients.
Classic Thai BBQ Chicken
Spiced chicken thigh served with pineapple fried rice and Tiger prawn mango salad.
Tender boneless cut of meat adequately marinated and grilled, topped with spicy thai sauce. If you are in the mood for some heat and tartness, you could go for this.
We were lucky to be invited during the dinner as we got to savour on some of the buffet spread as well. I shall not do much reviews on these and allow the photographs do all the talking.

I would say that the Executive Lunch Semi-Buffet Promotion is relatively worthwhile as the dishes were hearty and meticulously put together. As for the buffet spread, it was hardly extensive (food was mediocre, though the sliced beef was awesome), a little cramp at the buffet counters and slightly disorganised as the mass started to flock in groups. Luckily, service staffs were attentive enough to clear our plates fast as we eat even on a busy evening (hope they keep it going on any typical day).
*This is an invitation by PR of Millennium & Copthorne International Ltd & M hotel. Thank you for the fun & laughs that evening and we had a blast.*
