Christmas is around the corner, just two days away actually. I have left this post lingering around for quite some time now and since I am finally back from my long-awaited holiday in Korea, its about time I get back to work.
Prima Deli was really nice to deliver some Christmas goodies to me before the holiday season and here they are. 
SANTA’s Cottage ( Approx 1.2kg, $59.90 )
This substantial loghouse was packed with some grainy swiss rolls and smothered with luscious cream. It came pretty and dainty, too delightful to be destroyed.
It was daunting to ‘chop’ the log house apart as we wished to keep it standing as an art piece for a while longer. But once we sunk our teeth into the baked batter, we had second thoughts about the once exquisite work. ‘DO not judge a book by its cover’, or should I say DO not judge a cake by its lovely exterior. They could really change the cake mix recipe and probably go easy on the cream. 
Chef’s Supreme Pie ( Approx 670g, 16cm diameter $11.90 )
After having the cake, I wasn’t impressed. Then again, Prima Deli does make some mean pies under their wing. I love their chicken pies personally as the crusts were always made with perfection and the chicken pie fillings were forever delectable. I have high hopes for this supreme pie and boy was I not disappointed.
Jam-packed with loads of ingredients like potatoes, carrots and mushrooms, along with huge chunks of chicken meat, the pie was a bliss on a chilly evening. Toasted with the golden crust lightly browned and fillings piping hot, you know it would be the best TV dinner ever.
The layered pastry was negligible as compared to stuffings which could satiate upon every mouthful. It is the perfect party food, easy to prepare and a joy to consume.
Apart from the two items I was given, there are several other choices which are available during the Christmas Promotion. Like the new logcake flavour, Salted Caramel Logcake or the all time favourites, Blackforest Log cake and Truffle Log cake.
